Achina Town celebrates Idegwu Day cultural Festival during December period most times 29th or 30th or 31st; once in every 3 years; which is the mass return for all citizens of Achina-

As of the time of this post, the last Idegwu Day celebration was held in 2021 December 30th; and Hon Anayo Okpalaeke (De Senator), representing Aguata 1 Constituency in the Anambra State house of Assembly was the Committee Chairman-

Therefore, next Idegwu Day, as of the time of this publication comes 2024 December 30th.

Also, the Ofala Festival of Eze Idegwu III comes up this season 2024 December 29th; a reserved date for HRM.

This great town: “Land of the Great” is governed by HRM Igwe Godwin Nnaemeka Obiora (Ononenyi) Eze Idegwu III.

And administratively, Achina Town is governed by the leadership of the Achina Town Union (ATU). As of the time of this post, led by Hon Tony Ezenwaka; who was one time Permanent Secretary of the Anambra State Government.

The Youth wing of Achina Town Union is the Achina Youths Council (AYC) led by Mr Nnamdi Godwin Ugbaja as of the time of this post.

However, the Achina Youths Council and some notable citizens of Achina who may not be mentioned, kept Achina going great at Mbara Orie Achina roundabout during festive seasons like: Achina First January Christmas and Easter
