4th Ofala Festival Eze Idegwu III & Why Achina is Great among communities in Aguata LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria.
The great and wonderful people of Achina Town celebrated the 4th Ofala Festival of HRH Igwe Godwin Nnaemeka Obiora (Eze Idegwu III) on this day the 30th of December 2024, held at the Ofala Recreational Ground opposite Igwe’s palace.
Ofala Festival marks “Ịgụ arọ” in Igbo land. And Achina as one of the most respectful Igbo community in Aguata LGA in Anambra State has marked its 4th Ofala Festival in reign of his Majesty Igwe G.N Obiora (Ononenyi) as the custodian of Achina tradition and culture with his council members.
Demonstrating the greatness of Achina community, Chief Osita Chidioka the Nigeria famous former Aviation Minister “Ike-Obosi” chaired the historic occasion with host of dignitaries far and near that graced this remarkable Ofala Festival of Eze Idegwu III of Achina.
Highlights of the occasion includes:
The overwhelming entry by one of the Nigeria famous and former Presidential Aspirant, who was Former Governor of Anambra State Mr Peter Obi welcomed by HRH Igwe Godwin Nnaemeka Obiora.
House of Representatives member of 10th Assembly Hon. Engr Dominic Okafor (Ezechimyereugo) and Hon Anayo Okpalaeke of Anambra State House of Assembly, Eminent Dame Joyce Chinyere Mbakwe cum others all registered their presence during the occasion.
Conferment of Chieftaincy title by EZE IDEGWU III, HRH Igwe Godwin Nnaemeka Obiora to 15 citizens of Achina on merits and 2 non ndi Achina for their contributions to the development of Achina community, were highpoints of this royal occasion:
