The Ugwuakwu community in Umuchu, Aguata LGA, Anambra State, mourn Late Kate Obi (Nee: Ezeoha of Amanasa village in Umuchu).

Late Kate T.A Obi Burial Ceremony: Brief Biography

Late Mrs. Kate Teresa Amaechi Obi (Nee: Ezeoha) was born on the 15th of November 1961 to the family of late Mr Peter and Mrs Adakwere Ezeoha of Amanasa village in Umuchu, Aguata LGA.

She was the third child and the second daughter of her parents. Fondly called “Katty” by her family.

Yes! She was very smart, and loved by her mother.

Kate attended a local primary school in Umuchu: “Community primary school Umuchu.”

Because she was intelligent, she proceeded to the Umuchu Girls Secondary School where she obtained her SSCE.

1989, she met her husband Mr Benson Obi. And they got married in 1990.

The family they built together was blessed with Four children; two boys and two girls.

Mummy was a teacher and she did her work diligently. She was a very smart and hard-working woman.
She later retired voluntarily in 2006.
However, she was an active member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) till her death. She was a PDP financial Secretary.
Mummy was always active and strong. She was never tired of working.
A wonderful mother, grandmother etc. She later became sick; that got worse in 2021. And on Saturday morning, the 5th of August, she gave up the ghost.
