Children’s Skills Acquisition Program in Achina: Celebrating Six Weeks of Creativity, Discipline, and Young Talent
On 28th August 2026, Mint Community Library, Achina, Aguata LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria, launched a six-weeks journey of learning and practical skills to a memorable conclusion with an exhibition showcasing the incredible work of participating children.
The Children’s Skills Acquisition Program was created to provide children with an opportunity to learn practical skills, explore their creativity, develop confidence, and understand the importance of discipline and consistent practice.

For six weeks, the children showed up, learned, practiced, experimented, and created.
On the final day, they had the opportunity to show the world what they had accomplished.
A Celebration of Young Creativity
The exhibition on 28th August 2026 was more than just a display of completed projects.
It was a celebration of the children’s journey.
Every piece of work displayed represented hours of learning and practice. It showed what can happen when children are encouraged to explore new ideas and develop practical abilities.
The atmosphere demonstrated an important lesson: children do not only need instructions; they need opportunities.
When young people are given the right environment, teachers, resources, encouragement, and support, their potential can begin to emerge in remarkable ways.
Commendation to the Teachers
A special appreciation goes to the Young Minds Skill Acquisition Teacher Nze Alex Chimezie and his team for their dedication throughout the program.
Teaching children practical skills requires patience, consistency, creativity, and commitment.
The wonderful work of the teacher and his team helped create an environment where the children could learn, practice, and ultimately showcase their achievements.
The six-week program was sponsored by Engr. Chinazor Obieli of Achina.
His support helped create an opportunity for the children to participate in a meaningful skills-development experience.
During the exhibition, Engr. Chinazor Obieli delivered an encouraging message to the children:
“Message from the sponsor Engr. Chinazor Obieli:
“To the stars of today, our dear children, I want you to know that learning never ends. This programme may conclude today, but your journey of discovery continues. Please continue to explore new skills, and practice what you have learned. The more you learn, the more confident and capable you become.
I would also like to thank the parents and guardians for your support and encouragement. Your commitment has helped these children stay focused and motivated throughout the programme. Thank you for investing in their growth and development.
The message recognizes something very important: the real achievement was not only the finished work. It was the courage to try, the discipline to attend, and the commitment to practice.
BrainPower Captures the Story
The event was documented by BrainPower on PLANET TV, capturing the activities, exhibition, participants, children’s creations, and the people behind the program.
Documenting initiatives such as this helps preserve valuable community stories and allows a wider audience to see the positive things happening at the grassroots.
The Children’s Skills Acquisition Program is a reminder that meaningful development can begin with something as simple and powerful as giving children the opportunity to learn a skill.
More Programs Are Coming
The conclusion of this six-week program should not be seen as the end of the journey.
It is another beginning.
The children have gained experience. They have discovered new abilities. They have practiced discipline. They have demonstrated courage. Mostst importantly, they have seen that they can create something with their own hands and minds.
More programs will come your way.
